The original Crittall steel windows and timber sub-frames were beyond repair and in a very poor state on this project. They were cold, warped and the timber sub-frames had rotten.
With fantastic views across the countryside, we were asked to install new hardwood wooden windows with surface applied Georgian glazing bars in the fanlights to open up the views.
The new Sapele hardwood double-glazed windows were factory finished with white micro-porous wood-stain and fitted with traditional brass stays and fasteners to retain character.
Although we reduced the number of Georgian glazing bars, the property retained its character and the views from inside the property added a real 'wow factor'!
